'Featured' ?

I can't get it.

I just can't.


2 of the 4 "featured" elements are for user groups, which, let's be honest, are only interesting for people that are either part of those groups or that live nearby enough to become members of those groups.


Afterall, if you click on those links you just see lots of links about meetings.


True, lots of SW users are from the US but even so... I don't think it's of any real interest to someone in Wisconsin when there's a meeting in north Texas let alone for all of us that aren't in the USA.


This means that 50% of the "featured elements" are only interesting for a very very small group and seems to be there mainly to boost the vanity factor of those groups.


Is there truly nothing more universal interesting to feature ?
