DImXpert Dimension for a dovetail width?

    Devin Weston

      Hi All,

I'm trying to do a TolAnalyist study on a part with 60 degree dovetails. The critical dimension is the width of the dovetail, which I define in the sketch as the distance between 2 round "virtual inspection pins" as so:

My question is, how do I assign a DimXpert dimension for that? I can only seem to get it to do an angle one like this:

          Hi,Devin,

I can add the DimXpert dimension only when i extrude the sketch.

          • I tried to add two Datum Plane trough the two ponit,
          • And make two Cutting line between Solid Plane and Datum Plane,
          • And add DimXpert dimension between,
          • But i failed.

So we have an alternative method to finish it.
