Our "Production" users have access to the PDM vault to see "only the lastest version" and files in a "Production Released State", which are marked with a revision. We find it necessary for set the 'only see the latest version' so Manufacturing does not pull a old revision,
When the "Production Released" drawing (revisioned) is transitioned to "under change" for a ECN, it is no longer visible to Production as the changes are being updated. There is a need to still leave the last revisioned file (not the latest version) visible so Manufacturing can still make the latest approved part , even though the latest version is under change is being worked
on and his hidden by state. Is there a way to keep the latest “Revision” visible from the previous state, even though the latest Version is under change.
Allow Manufacturing to "Read file contents" when the file is "under change" so it doesn't disappear. Then go to the folder permissions and uncheck "Show working versions of files" so they don't see the changes until the next revision.
