I designed a number of parts on campus this fall using the computer labs and their Educators copy of SolidWorks 2015.
I'm home for break but still have the parts to work on. I purchased myself a Student Addition, and to save a few bucks i got the 2013-2014 version of the program. Unfortunately, I am unable to open or even view the parts I created on a newer version. Is there a way to convert them to work in an earlier version? Or import them?
The only way that I'm aware of is to save the files as STEP, IGES, etc., and then import into the older version. You'll lose the feature tree, but feature recognition may get you somewhat close. I'd like to know if there is a better option for this as well.
