Having passed the Advanced Drawing Tools Exam on the second go-round. (First-time missed it by one question)

Thinking back over the test, I am remembering there is one question from both attempts that is still stumping me. It is the Block 1 question that must be projected into another view to get the right dimension on certain feature. The exam hints that you will have to create multiple projections to get to the right one to take the measurement correctly. This is definitely something I cannot grasp on my own.

Could someone please clue me in to the correct technique to solve this problem?
