I would like to split a curve that is projected into a surface into equal segments to create sketches for a loft feature. How do I do that?

If you do need it to be parametric, then I found a really roundabout way of doing it. You can start a 3D sketch and convert entities to copy the projected curve. Then extrude a surface from that 3D sketch. Next use Tools > Sketch Tools > Face Curves to create equally spaced lines on your extruded surface. Finally you would need to start a new 3D sketch and convert the projected curve and split it where the face curve lines intersect it.
I've attached an example file. The 3DSketch3 through 12 came from the Face Curves.
I don't know of a way to do that. However, if the 'split' doesn't need to be parametric, you could insert reference points equally spaced (that is an option) on the curve, and use these to create the sketches for the loft.
