How to replace sketch in existing feature ?

Dear Community

Could someone please help me to find easiest and the most save (or even any) way how to replace sketch in existing feature to update part, without creating it from the begining?

Simply saying I would like do something like that:

My typical work is to import printed circuit board from DXF, after that boos-extrude (to make real 3D PCB), and after that (based on this sketch) I need to multiplicate it (move or copy body), draw bridges, margins (panel).

Please help me to update my panel via simple PCB sketch (from new PCB revision DXF) update. Is it possible and how to do it?

Did you tried 2014 What's New in SolidWorks - Replace Sketch Entities

Basically copy the required sketch. Then edit the first sketch and paste there. Finally used replace sketch entities option.

    use the advanced editor-
    top right of the reply pane-
    and attach-bottom right-browse to file
    and I'll do it in SW13- kelef

      I cannot to simply send you files (bacause it's comercial product during development).
      
      I followed to edit existing sketch and pasted here sketches copied from the last sketch existing in a tree.
      Then was a few errors in other sketch (bridges) due broken relations, but I deleted some "yellow/green" lines and draw them again.
      All sketches are ok now. Body was properly copied and all looks nice (panel).
      
      But then, when I updated my old drawing (new part choosen as reference during drawing opening) then finally (after rebuild) I got drawing with all dimensions in "yellow/green" colour:
      
      Is it possible to avoid this situation in the SW2013 ?
      
      Whih way should I go to get compatibile drawing with all dimensions "black" ?

        Those dimensions have turned that color because they've lost the link to the model. If you will click on them you will probably get a red box at the end of one or more of the leader lines. Sometimes you can click on this red box and drag it to re-attach it, but if that doesn't work you'll need to delete the dimension and re-insert it.

Hi Mariusz,

I don't think there is a way in SW to be able to replace the sketch of a feature (at least I have not found a way.) The only way around this is to define the sketch contour of another sketch. What Deepak mentions happens while editing the sketch in that you can replace one sketch entity for another. So in summary you not replace the sketch of a feature for another (at least you can't for extrude - revolve) but you can redefine what sketch contours to use in a feature.

  OK here is an old trick we used to show when we went out to demo SW when I worked for the VAR here in AZ.
  
  Change all of the current geom from solid to construction, then copy and paste or convert the new geom to the open sketch making it all solid, the close the sketch and new extruded shape , still have the old but now have new.
  
  now something may fail down the tree, but again this is just a hint to try
