Animation video quality

I am trying to save a video of a motion animation. When i see the motion played in solidworks the quality looks fine. However when i save the file as a video and play it back through a media player all of the edges look jagged and everything looks some what pixelated. I am currently saving it as a .avi file and using 24 fps. Is there any way to fix this or is this just the best quality video that i can get? I'm sorry i can't upload the video as it is too large but here is a screen shot of it in a media player.
