Hello all, I hope i'm asking this question in the right area.
I am currently working with SolidWorks for a school project. I am trying to make a micro-scale (<1mm) surface replica by using a PointCloud mesh. this mesh is created using MatLab. The Point Cloud file has dimensions of 0.2x0.2mm. I added this Point Cloud file as a attachment.
Whenever I try to open this Point Cloud file I get the error:
The model size is smaller than 1mm. Please check that you selected the proper unit in the Options dialogue when open the file. Current selected unit is Millimeters!
Next, I go down on the screen, next to the green question mark and click on Custom, and edit document properties. There, i change everything to nano-meters. The next step will be to run the Mesh Prep Wizard, which is possible without any problems. However, when opening the Surface Wizard, to create a solid, it gives again the following error:
The model size is smaller than 1mm. Please check that you selected the proper unit in the Options dialogue when open the file. Auto surface will not proceed.
And at this point I can't go any further. The settings are still at nanometers, but I cannot run the Surface wizard. How can i solve this??
With kind regards,
Mark
