Hello everybody!
I am pretty new using Solidworks but so far so good until now!
It is very basic, but I am trying to open a eDrawing (file extension.edrw) with Solidworks 2014 and I cannot do it. It is a 2D drawing and I only want to include some dimensions.
As far as I understand from the online help (2014 eDrawings Help - Opening Files) it should be a really easy process.
File > Open > and set the files of type "eDrawings Files (*.eprt, *.easm, *.edrw)"
However the option for "eDrawings Files (*.eprt, *.easm, *.edrw)" does not appear in my open window.
Am I understanding something wrong?
Is it necessary any plugin or something similar?
Can anybody help me with this please?
Thank you very much,
Kind Regards,
Miguel
I'm not sure it possible but My main question is why not open the edrawing in edrawings itself. The program is free to download from the SW website.
