I have a drawing where I've created three exploded views
because one exploded view would be too complicated to follow easily
for assembly. To accomplish this I created three configurations and
in each configuration exploded a different part of the assembly. In
the drawing I brought in a view for each configuration and
respective exploded view. I created a bill of material by selecting
on one of the exploded views. I then proceeded to try to use the
automatic baloon feature with all three views selected. In the view
I used for the BOM creation the balloon numbers are correct while
the other two views are not. It appears that they reference another
BOM.
Any ideas how to resolve this, or is there another way to accomplish this? The only thing I can think of is to somehow create multiple exploded views under one derived configuration within the model but I do not know if this is possible. It is my understanding that to have more than one exploded view you need to create another configuration.
Appreciate the help!
