Hi everyone !
Ive got an assembley file from my friend and all the fasteners are getting automatically oversized, yes i tried to uncheck the box in system options/toolbox, but unfortunatly it doesnt help.
Pavel, without more details, I can only guess as to the circumstances, but here are my impressions:1) You saved the assembly file before you checked, 'make this folder the default search location for Toolbox components"-In this case, you'll need to go back to the file that was emailed and re-open it-ensuring before-hand that you check the indicated checkbox.
2) When prompted to automatically create missing sizes for Toolbox components, you selected 'No to All'
3) something is missing or corrupted in your toolbox database-ofcourse, you'd see problems with all of your assemblies that used toolbox, not just the one that was sent to you. Usually the way to tell if Toolbox is hosed, is to check and see which configuration it's using for the parts. SolidWorks will apply the 'default' or 'preview' configurations for fasteners where it doesn't have the size information.
Thanks a lot it worked, in this problematic assembly, but when i am trying to use a toolbox in a completly different project fasteners that i am trying to use are geting oversized then selves, does it mean that i my toolbox is corrupted? and should i update it or there is other way round it? Thx
We no longer use Toolbox parts because of the instability Not sure we ever found the cause
Is it widly used practice?
I've worked 3 places that used Solidworks, and they all avoided Toolbox for the same reason.
This issue goes clear back to SW2003.
