Where do we have instructions to export SolidWorks detail part, assemblies and drawings to Pro E?
2014 SOLIDWORKS Help - Exporting Documents and Setting Options
File > Save as > Select type
There is no way to export or import the 2D drawings and maintain associativity. A neutral (dumb) format like DXF or DWG will have to be used.
Thank you very much for your help. This is going to be interesting for me>>> learning both Pro E and SolidWorks
Good luck, I use both for my job. It gets frustrating sometimes, because one package can do things with ease in a single click, while the other takes multiple clicks, and then still wont do what you want it to. I am told that Creo 3.0 will be able to open SW files direct, in a similar fashion as SW can now open a Creo part. Feature recognition on the Creo side still needs work IMO.
