I have various planes defined in the context of and referencing various plane definition points in complex sldprt models. I need to create a 3d sketch line normal to the selected plane which starts as a pierce point on the plane and terminates on the global origin. Given that, I then need to measure that distance and angular offsets from the standard default planes. Does anyone know how to construct and constrain a 3d line that will give me this type result. Effectively this is a polar vector based at the origin and terminating as a normal to the selected plane.

Draw your line in a 3D sketch, ctrl select the end point & plane & select On Plane. Ctrl select the line & plane & select Normal To. Then Ctrl select the origin & other end of line & select Coincident.
