My print template has a manualy created revision block to follow company standards however it seams every time i open one in 2015 it adds 12/30/1799 to all of the empty date fields.
Has anyone else had a similer problem?
The quick fix was to change the property from date to text. its working for now.
Arnold, this is something odd and obviously not expected.
Frist, have you consulted a VAR to examine this problem? Is it possible to post the template you are using as I am having a hard time understanding 'revision block' as it relates to custom properties.
Having the same issue. you are not alone
Only thing I found about that date was.....
ok so the only fix I know is to open the template and save it as a new template with new name. but it worked for me.
I've not seen this apparent bug report yet. Have you contacted your VARs to report this as a potential bug for them to confirm and submit?
I am having the same problem. After installing sw 2015 i decided to do some updates to my templates and get the same date in my custom properties that then populate the title block on my drawing. I contacted my VAR and they were able to reproduce the same problem but with a different date! I was told thqt my problem has been elevated to solidworks as a bug, but i have not heard anything else.
If I change the field to text the problem goes away, but is not how it should work and they agree.
I have been told by my VAR that it will be fixed in SP1 release.
THANK YOU !!!!
Looks like they fixed it in the new solidworks 2015 sp1 update.
I get the same date error with 2015 SP1.1
go back and delete that note of the template and recreate it. I had to do that.
Delete the note off the template and recreate it.
