This only started showing up on my 2015 download and I can't find how to turn it off or remove it. Only want the actual dimensional number to show, not the <mod.diam> note.
i had this prob. there was a glitch in the install somehow. i still had 2014 installed as well and could not figure out why it was doing that. i just uninstalled both and reinstalled 2015 and it was fine. there is prob a better solution
I used to see this come up many years ago. Haven't seen it lately, but what I used to do to clear it was to shut down and restart SolidWorks....
That is strange. In a drawing or dimension, normally if you type <MOD-DIAM>, you will get a little diameter sign. Sounds like SW is confused or missing the character needed ?
Repair SolidWorks 2015 should do the trick
Go to Tools / Options / System Options / File Locations.
Check "Hole Callout Format File" is pointing where it should (Default is C:\Program Files\Solidworks Corp\Solidworks\lang\english)
I tried to repair and no luck. So I went as far as removing Solidworks from my machine and reloading. Still the same issue. Ian I double checked my file path and it is what you show (also checked the other two workstations in our office and they use that same path without issue).
So I removed 15 again and then reloaded 14.... no problems and works as it should. So... what is the procedure for loading 15 without overriding my currently installed 14 so that I can compare and find out what the issue is?
This might help https://forum.solidworks.com/thread/72458?q=keep%20both%202014%20and
Here is the reason for the issue and a possible fix: Re: Where can i get a new gtol.sys file for SW2015
