Recently with my SW2014 SP4 when doing a Save Bodies and then Save As the body/s names I have been receiving the following error dialog "C:\Program Files\SolidWorks\Corp\SolidWorks2014\Solidworks\.asm The above file name is invalid"
Has anyone else experienced this and if so found a solution to it?

Hi Mark,
I realize this isn't going to answer your question but I'm curious what your purpose is for using this feature in the first place? Is there a reason that you need the bodies extracted from the model (ex. doing drawing views)?

Looks like I solved my problem by moving my part templates to a custom folder, changing my file locations in sys prefs and then restarting SW.
