Can I contraint a line to a plane? adding a contraint that a line must stay in a plane. I did sketch in a front plane and need to make sure that one of the line are in the top plane.
This can be done currently in SW.
In your sketch on your front plane, draw your line. Then ctrl-select the line and the top plane and add a collinear relation. The top plane can either be selected from the feature tree or you can make it visible and select it in the graphics area.
You should be able to select the end point and the plane and do a "on plane" constraint.
would that be possible for 2D sketch?
In a 2D sketch it would be a coincident relation. Or you can select the entire line segment and the plane and do a collinear relation.
Yes, any plane not parallel to the current sketch plane will work.
If you created a 2D sketch on a plane, all the sketch elements will automatically be constrained to that plane.
If you sketch with the planes visible, you automatically get this constraint.
