I am having a problem in sw2007 sp3 I have an assemby with 3 sub-assemblies and 40 other parts. When I insert the bom I pick top level only. I shows all the parts , a line with each sub-assembly and all the parts in the sub assembly it not in the indented format. It lists the parts as seperate lines. My var has been no help

If so, I've seen this happen in one instance:
I created a BOM table of an assembly with a routing component as a subassembly, using the routing 'circuit summary' template.
That unsupressed every component in every configuration of my assembly and, as a side effect, listed them in the BOM. I don't remember if it drilled into the subassembly level or not.
Yeah, that was a fun day.
