I want to lock EPDM sever temporarily so that no user's can access EPDM vault.
Check out this post.
But if user session is already active before using Block Login method then the user will have access for the EPDM right?
I do not know the epdm software at all. But in the referenced post Gene Mercer says
Yeah, that was it.. You first block the logins as you've shown, then you have to restart the server to flush out any existing users/logins. I was thinking there was something, just couldn't remember it in the moment. A timed closure like most websites with a reason would still be nice. Thanks for the reminder Tim!
So to get loose of all connections, make change to the server to block log ins and then restart it (perhaps just the epdm server software).
I'm sure your question has been answered by now, or is at least probably no longer relevant to your situation, but you are correct that "Block Logins" will not remove currently logged-in users from the EPDM vault. In order to kick logged-in users out of EPDM, you must have access to your archive server. If you log in to your archive server's computer and open the "Archive Server Configuration" tool, there is an option to stop the server - this will kick anyone logged-in EPDM off. This is what our VAR instructed us to do before performing an upgrade.
