I am trying to attach my file with my question, as I am really green to solid works and have several questions so I think the file would help it be answered , But I can't find a place to attach it, can I do this and if so how? The current problem is when I do a section view on the part why is it shelling out on me?
There's a good chance Jamil's answer will fix your problem, but you asked about attaching files. Click on the text "Use advanced editor" at top right of the Reply box, then there will be a place near the bottom you can click on to attach files. At least that's how it's supposed to work. It hasn't worked for me for the last couple of days.

In the options for the section view there is a box for "Show section cap". You probably want to check that box. If you want the sections to be fixed solid color you can check the box for "Keep cap color" and pick the color above, otherwise it should use the solid body color.
