There is a check box under event on the properties tab called pack linked resource. When I check that box and do a save as package the pdf file I have linked is save in the packaged document. If I go back and uncheck that box and change the linked pdf and do a save as package it will retain the old link and I can not seem to get rid of the old link. What am I doing wrong?
I tried the reset to neutral properties, changed the link I wanted, and it still keeps the old link to the old pdf. So I had to change the name of the pdf and reset the link to the changed name. If I over write the pdf with changes and use the same name for the pdf it will not show the changes. When I open the pdf out side of composer it shows the changes I made. Composer acts like it keeps a snap shot of a pdf and if you over write the pdf and keep the same name on pdf it will not show the current version of the pdf.
Without seeing your scene, I can only speculate, but here goes:
If this is for View mode, after you change the event, you need to 'update nuetral properties' or 'update views with selected object.' Saving the file won't preserve the change otherwise.
