Solidworks is just a tool. What you know about a certain field is what will get you a job..
thank you for reply.
i know very well that my field is the main but i am talking about being professional in solid works may give me the chance to gain money outside my main job.
Relying on SW is good if Certifed. One thing I've done is to only accept jobs that use SW.
Do you think that relying only on solid works has good profit or i have to learn different skills.
Learning new skills can only improve your chances but don't spread your abilities too thin. Get good at whatever new things you attempt!
You have to have the ability to comprehend what is being desired to be designed. The main ability of a designer is to take the IDEA of a product and develop a design that is manufactureable. There are several questions that should be asked when starting a design, amoung these are: cost of final product? This will help determine the method of manufacture and material. How long should this product last? If for 10 years versus 10 months, tells how durable the material and strength of the design needs to be. For instance, a car is designed to last for only three years. By repair , it lasts longer.
SolidWorks is one of many tools of the design engineer. Being good with that tool, will help get better job, but knowledge is the most important tool!
PS: It is SolidWorks not solid works.
You can start by using capital letters at the beginning of your sentences.
Good advice in SolidWorks.
