Is there a free or low-cost viewer for U3D files exported from SolidWorks?
I have tried a number of the viewers that supposedly support U3D, but I have yet to find one that really works.
Thanks!

The fileinfo.com site either has outdated or incorrect info, as the current Blender and DazStudio don't allow import of U3D.
The only application I found that does open it is Simlab Composer, and while its not free, it is low cost.
A viewer that may work for you is Sketchfab. Looks like they have a plugin for SolidWorks, and they do have free accounts although your usage would determine if a paid account would be needed. This does not use U3D format.
According to U3D File Extension - Open .U3D Files both Blender & DAZ 3D are able to view U3D files, & are free.
