Can any one have the CFD example done for solar mounting structures , study of flow over solar panels for particular wind speeds.

you can check the documentation with the software for any drag force or lift force analysis problem and that will apply to your problem as well
or start with something simple like just a plate that you can easily calculate then you can go and add more detail
you can also use the export to simulation feature if you want to run a static analysis on the results
I already done CFD for our solar mounting structures, what we are doing is we are comparing the Cp ( pressure coefficient ) values from CFD to IS - 875 part 3 code but the thing is we are not satisfied with the results getting from Solid works CFD , so that's why i am asking the forum whether any one dealing with the same field can send me the example or else procedure to be followed.
Environment temperature & pressure.
rather than comparing a solar model, i'd recommend finding some engineering standards like a flat plate at different angles and running it in solidworks
you will see in other forum posts that you need very high mesh resolution and very large comp domains to get very very accurate aerodynamic results
this is well documented in the swx kb as well
Karthik,
You'll probably get more responses if you move this to the Flow Simulation subspace. Move should be available to you under Actions on the right side of the page.
