Hello! I just started using the forum today. So thank you in advance to all that help me out on this problem.

I am simulating a metal wrap that winds around a non conical ax haft. I used a 3D Sketch Helix to create the path. I'm close but the rectangle profile is twisting and warping. I need it to lay on top of the loft surface as done in real life. I am unsure how to use the guide curves in this situation and unsure what to do at this point. Any help would be appreciated. Below are sequential images that show my progress.

Using a spline for a path usually gives bad results for a sweep. you may need to end up doing more leg work to get the results you want. Make 2 3D Helix's onto the part surface marking the width of the rectangle at it's base. Do an off-set surface of the part which is the height of the rectangle sweep surface. Do some 3D Helix onto this surface marking the width at the top of the rectangle. Now you have some sketches marking the edges of the rectangular sweep, just loft, boundary surface, or fill surface until you enclose this rectangular sweep profile.
