I use solidworks 2011, thanks for your help in advance!

Whenever I select a metal, wood, etc material as the appearance of a part, the part just turns a dull 8-bit-like color. So "polished gold" becomes yellow, and "polished aluminum" becomes dull grey. How can I get the part to look right? I feel like there's a rendering level setting that I should be able to change solidworks to render the metal appearance of a part while i'm working on it.

For example, the image I've attached has a sample part that i've selected "polished copper" as the appearance for. It doesn't looked too polished to me!

Thanks!

Julian
