I've seen similar questions asked a bunch of times (how to wrap helix along curved path, etc), but nothing applies to my problem.
Consider this image:
I know how to model something roughly similar. Create an Helix, then a small circle cross-section, then Sweep it with Twist along Path and some turns.
What I need to do, is take this and make it follow the path of a bigger helix.
Hence the title, coiled coiled coil.
I have searched all over for a way to do this, i.e. make a Helix follow another Helix's path.
Ideally I want to extend this concept to X number of coils.
Once I make the Sweep/Twist along Path, I would think I could Sweep another circle around the first sweep, but it just doesn't work.
Is this even possible to do in SW 2014?
This is driving me nuts!
