As Ian states, it is not on the approved list so there are no guarantees. If you intend to only use it until the 1700 arrives, you may be able to put up with some problems. If you plan to continue to use it after receiving the 1700, I would suggest getting an approved card (maybe E-Bay, etc).

The 1700 comes with a pair of Nvidia NVS 310's, so the v3550 is a completely temp solution
According to the link I posted above, SW doesn't recommend any Nvidia NVS cards!
It does work with a NVS cards though. I am running SW 2014 on another 1700 and it is running like a dream. Running 4 screens of the two cards.The NVS cards are running SW 2014 and AutoCAD 3D Max. Both running very smoothly and no glitches.
I don't see anything lower than a v3600 on the hardware list.
