Hi Everyone,
I've got this part that has 2 configurations: Anodized and Raw. I apply a 'Shell Outward' feature to the Raw part to represent the anodizing, and it works great, except that any holes I choose to NOT shell (to remain raw) end up deleted. This happens whether I add them before or after the shelling. Anyone know a way to fix them, or keep this from happening?
Thanks for the help!
Ryan
You will need to copy the solid body before you do the shell, then shell one of the bodies. Whichever body you didn't shell will remain there. Think of the shell result as the anodize only, so you still need the original body there to represent the raw material. If you don't like the seam that forms between the shell and the original then you can add a combine feature to merge them.
