All,
Thanks for taking the time to look at this for me your help is appreciated. I apologize if this question has been asked before. My problem is simple in theory, but I just can't get SolidWorks to do what I need it to do. Basically, I have the exhaust flange shown below and I would like it to follow the red line and remove the sharp corner. The issue I am have is that the manifold itself is imported so I do not have a sketch or anything to work from and since the manifold is not a perfect cylinder I cannot do a revolved cut. My first attempt I tried to extend some surfaces then use the intersect command to remove the extra material leaving me with a sharp ~90 deg corner that I could then fillet. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks again
Tyler,
You can close the sketch and either Sweep Cut or use the two sketches and use (two) Loft Cuts.
Use SelectionManager (by RMB in the Path box or Graphic Area) Then use the existing lines from the Manifold
I have an example of Sweep - Selection Manager on this post
