    linear relaxation question

    Dan Hofstetter

I have used some other CFD programs where linear relaxation could be used to account for problems where diffusion and convection processes were happening at very different rates.  I have observed that when I use a very small time step for transient gas decay problems involving forced convection of fresh air, the gas gets evacuated much too rapidly in the simulation when compared to measured data.  Is there anything similar to linear relaxation that can be used in Flow Simulation?
