We have licenced solidworks 2010 x 64 edition, SP 0.0, running on XP. If I upgrade OS from XP to Windows 7 will solidworks run successfully?

You'd need to be at SW2010 SP1 to run on Windows 7.

  I have the exact two configurations you are mentioning and everything is running ok.
  My laptop has WIn XP x32 and SW2010 SP0.0 and my desktop has Win 7 Ultimate x64 and SW2010 SP0.0.
  
  I had no problem the past 2 years or so.
