Hi everyone,

I have a got an 3D CAD assembly in Step format. I need to run a static structural analysis on the same using Solidworks simulation. There are no moving parts in the assembly.

I  have one question to the fraternity here; in order to save some time, I intend to apply fixed mate to all the component in the assembly before bringing it into the Simulation interface.

However, I will be taking care of applying proper contact sets in the assembly whenever and wherever needed.

Will application of fixed mate yield me different results from the other standard mates? I would like to be on a safer side as far as the results are concerned
