When I try to hide a part in a motion study, it vanishes at the second keypoint instead of transitioning, why? Interpolation is set to linear... I do get transitions when I move parts though. I'm using SW2013. Thanks!
motion or animator?
Hey Jared, I clicked the "motion study" tab at the bottom of the screen and followed this tutorial:
SolidWorks Motion: Part 4 - Adding Transparency - YouTube
I'm using the animator option, but I've tried the other two (motion and motion analysis).
New development; the transitions work for other assemblies I have, just not the one I'm working on. Is there something that could prevent view transitions from working?
Also, if I remove all but one part from the assembly, the problem remains. If I make a new assembly with the same part the motion transitions work fine. Its like this one assembly is cursed...
what happens with a new motion study in the same assembly?
A new motion study in the same assembly has the same issue. Also, if I made a new assembly and import the original assembly the problem is still there.
I just noticed that if I make a new assembly and import the original assembly, I can make the transition happen if I hide the entire assembly, but not individual parts inside the assembly. These still hide instantaneously.
I've just rebuilt the assembly being very careful about how I choose mates and leaving out extraneous parts, seems to be working... whatever. Thanks for the help anyway.
probably would have to see it to comment further
