The above video creates a flexible rubber hose in Creo Parametric primarily on the basis of Trajpar parameter.
How can this be achieved in SolidWorks since i believe there is no equivalent of Trajpar in SolidWorks?
One way, which I'll admit is not as quick and easy as the Creo way, is to model the straight hose and use the deform feature. The deform feature can be rather taxing on your computer though. See my attached file.
That is great Jamil.
I will try the deform feature and will get back to you in case I am not able to achieve the desired result!
Haha I had to share this. Here's my failed attempt using a sweep with guide curve.
Yes Jamil....Deform can give you the same capability although you very rightly said that it is not as quick and easy as in Creo and also i would like to add that design intent is more robust in Creo through trajpar and relations than say sketch and equations through deform in SolidWorks!
Not sure what is your actual need you can use sweep, revolve and final curve driven pattern to achieve the results. The dimensions, instance count, etc. can be driven via design table or equations.
Yes....The method you gave is the way to do it in SolidWorks for a robust design intent.
Appreciate your prompt response and guidance.
