Good morning everyone,
Quick question on angular dimensioning in drawings. For the longest time I've been sketching a vertical "construction line" within the drawing itself in order to be able to dimension off a vertical reference. Is there a trick that I'm not aware of that will allow me to refrain from this added work if I don't have to? Basically, if I have a horizontal line and angled line, I can only dimension between the two to get 38 degrees, but the shop prefers a dimension off of vertical. Hopefully my attachment will clarify. I marked in red the little vertical line I stick in there to allow for the dimension to be pulled. Thanks!
