I have a set a reference points in a model that is then in an assembly. Once the assembly is put through the simulation I need to measure the distance between the points. The reference points are not physically attached to the model so there is not a node that I can probe.
Off the top of my head there is a few different ways that you can do this, if you have Simulation Professional you could save the deformed body out and then reattach you sketch to the deformed body. You would then be able to measure off the points.
Another way would be to use sensors to produce the X,Y,Z or URES displacement coordinates. Sensors need to be placed on the mesh so you would need to model something small that could reference the points. i.e. a very small tube with a vertex/split line that coincides with the points on your sketch. I would make the small tube a separate body and also make it rigid. It would need to be attached to the main body and have a fine enough mesh to bond correctly.
Once you have the sensors setup you could even run a design study and then reel off many different force loadings and measure the displacements in one go
