What I need is to change the helix angle, but keeping the sping diameter constant... is this possible?.... hte pitch has to be constant too (equal to the coil diameter).... Thinking, for example, as a parameter that one can manipulate with a winding machine...

SolidWorks defines the pitch as the height of one complete coil. Do you want this to stay constant? As I mentioned before, the helix angle is a function of the pitch and the diameter, so if the pitch and diameter are constant then the angle will not change. Maybe you want the diameter and total height to stay the same? Then you could vary the pitch (and therefore vary the helix angle) and the total number of turns will change.

What version of SolidWorks do you have? If you have 2014 I can upload a sample spring to show you.

You must have mis-typed something. You said you want different spring angles with constant coil and spring angle. Do you mean constant number of coils?

You should be able to do what you want with a design table, and depending how you set up the helix used for your spring you can import the parameters (pitch, number of coils, height) into the design table and vary them for each configuration. The helix angle will be related to the pitch and the diameter, specifically

helix angle = tan. So you can use an equation in excel if you want to convert your desired helix angle into the spring pitch.^{-1 }( pitch / pi * diameter )
