If you want a swept Boss you can start a new part in context of the assembly and convert your sketches into it, then make the sweep.
You can't create a body directly inside an assembly, but you can insert a virtual part (Insert > Component > New Part...) and create your sweep inside it. You also can't use assembly sketches directly in the part, so you'll need to re-create them in the virtual part. The Convert Entities tool may help to link the part's sketches to the assembly sketches.
