We use BlueCielo Meridian as our document control software, and it uses the edrawings viewer to view SolidWorks files.
We upgraded to SolidWorks 2014 and when trying to view 2014 drawing files it gives us an error
("Unhandle Parsing exception" Please report Fault)
It views part and assembly files just fine, only has the problem with the drawing files.
Do I need to update edrawing viewer?
Yes, eDrawings viewer will need updating to read SW 2014 files.
I have eDrawings version 14.2.0.116 2014 SP02, is this the latest version. I looked on the SolidWorks site and I can't find the latest version.
It's possible your PDM software is using an older version of eDrawings than 2014.
We're on SW 2014 SP03, and it came with eDrawings 14.3.0.107 2014 SP03.
Unfortunately the SW website seems to be "Down for maintainance" at the moment.
Okay thanks everyone for the help, I have updated SolidWorks and eDrawing to the latest version and the problem went away.
The new version of eDrawings that I downloaded is 14.2.0.116 and 2014 SP04
