"Sldworks Has Stopped Working" message (SWX 2010)

    Dan Peake

This month (Aug 2014), two separate Win7 (32) machines, each with the same license of SWX 2010, are suddenly not loading Solidworks.

I get the same message on both machines "Sldworks Has Stopped Working". (See problem signature below.)

One of these machines is my desktop and the other my laptop - since the problem occurred at the exact same time on both machines, shortly after a Windows update, my guess is it is related to the Windows automatic update.

I contacted the VAR who I bought the seats from back in 2011. Apparently, DDS/SW does not permit them to offer assistance without an annual maintenance agreement (which I do not have). So I am stuck! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks,

      Dan
