Hi everyone,
I'm attempting to dimension a counter-bored hole in a section view that shows the hole's cross-section. The hole was not modeled using the hole wizard, but rather a revolved cut. The attached image shows what I'm trying to achieve, with limit tolerances for each of the dimensions. How can I recreate the dimension situation in the attached image? Is there a way to use a note and manually enter the values? If so, how about alignment of the diameter symbol with the limit tolerances?
Thanks,
Andrew
Andrew,
I use this work around, Dimension each feature independently, set your tolerances for each feature and add any notes in the dimension text window, then start a new "Note" when the note window is waiting for you to type in text, select the previously dimensioned items. Once you have every thing looking like you want it, Ctrl-Select and hide the original dimensions. This will keep everything grouped and clean looking. Any changes needed to be made are the original dimensions.
