turn your resolution down. As for service pack sorry you are not allowed to up grade to the latest, only commercial can, sorry.
what are you running now?
How big is your monitor?
Have you set the command manager setting for Icon to large with description?
I am running SolidWorks 2014 student edition SP02 on Win 8.1 system.
I am using two displays:
1. Lenovo Thinkpad W540 display 2880*1620, graphics card: Intel HD 4600 and NVIDIA Quadro K2100M (2GB memory), memory: 32GB
2. Asus PB278Q 27” display 16:9 2560 x 1440
The problems could not be solved when I lower the resolution.
Not only the icon problems, I mean, in many cases the text in menu bar is too big, the text in instructions is too small, even text in first row of a chart is covered by the text in the second row. It is definitely the software's problem, and I wasted 99 bucks.
Do you have a different monitor? if it is smaller try it to see if it is the monitor causing the issue, if I recall there were some issues with the newer Hires monitors over 24 inches.
