The answer is yes, if you have PhotoView360 added in. You can create your own scenes for both RealView an PhotoView. If for RealView, it is best to have PhotoShop with the DCC (from NVIDIA) add-in for making cubemaps. For PhotoView, it would be best if you created an HDRI image along with your background so that you could get accurate lighting. It really depends what you want to do with your "photosphere"?
That was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be after you nudged me towards the appropriate set of options. I can use 'edit scene' set the 'photo sphere' as the environment image and then set the background to 'use environment' and it's as simple as that!
