Have upgraded to 2014 and have noticed that I can no longer create a min distance dimension between an arc and line by holding down the shift key when placing a dimension in sketch mode? Is there a new shortcut to do this? Very frustrating.
It still works for me. Not sure what the problem could be.
Have tried restarting and the function is not back. Still works in 2013.
Maybe check to make sure shift isn't assigned as a keyboard shortcut to some other function.
Did you update the graphics driver after upgrading to SW14?
Use the SolidWorks Rx > Diagnostics tool to check.
Updated the driver; still not working.
Ok, my VAR helped me figure it out. Seems the behavior of the function has changed. Holding down the shift key while selecting the arcs for dimensioning will get you the min distance for which ever arc you are selecting. In 2013 select the entities and then hold down the shift key while placing the dimension.
I've always held down Shift while selecting. And it's not just minimun distance. You can also get maximum distance, depending on where you click.
