    Laptop for Student

    Paul Moreton

      Hello everyone,

I am looking to buy a laptop that can run Solidworks education that I get from my Uni. I do not know much about laptops unfortunately so any advice would be helpful.

I won’t be using it for complex assemblies, only to learn and update my portfolio with fancy looking concepts like modelled cars etc.

My budget is £300 - £500. Is this possible? (If not I just won’t bother)

      Thanks

Most likely, you won't be able to afford an ideal laptop for SolidWorks, but you should be able to find something. You can find the minimum specs here, but you'll probably have to go for an unapproved grahpics card. You might want to take a look at the refurbished market. You may be able to find something on eBay that will be more desirable.
