It sounds like you may have a corrupted part or a corrupted simulation.
Can you try this experiment on another part and see if the same thing happens?
If it doesn't happen, can you then try to create a new simulation and see if it happens?
If it continues to crash on the new simulation of the old part, you can try to strip the part of simulation data using the "Simulation Cleaning Utility.exe"
It's located under, \Program Files\SolidWorks Corp\SolidWorks Simulation\Utilities.

It is a known issue that is fixed in 2014 Sp4.

generally when crashing occurs we have to ask did it just start or has it always existed
if just started, what changed...etc and always check the solidworks kb before proceeding.
Thanks everybody. Yes, different parts and different simulations all have the same error when i try to change units.
What should I do now? Same problems again this morning. You said it was a known error, that was fixed....so how do I fix it?
There is a hot fix I believe. Contact your var for it.
