License problem

Hello,

We are working with 3 floating licences and one license administrator. Now we have bought a new server and we can not connect the PC's through the License Manager.

The solid Network License Manager we use in the local PC's is 22.1.0.0044 and in the administrator is 21.5.X.XXXX (I have no acces to it now).
Is there any problem if the administrator ones is a older version?

Can you tell me if it can be another factor than can carry us problems? (like firewall,..)

If you know any other case similar, please tell me and I will read it to find solutions.

What is the error message you are receiving?

Did you de-activate the old SNL license server and then re-activate your licenses on the new SNL server?

Are the clients pointing to the new SNL server?

What version of SolidWorks are you running on clients and servers. SW2014???

Check if you ping the server. If yes then this is not a firewall issue.

Well anyway you would need the same version on both sides. As far as I know, the admin can be higher version but not the client side.

  Hello Anna and Deepak,
  
  The version we have in the cliens is 2014 and the License Manager installed in administrator is 2013, so I think it is the problem.
  
  To check it, we have installed the Solid Works 2013 in one PC and we have de-activated the firewall. In this situation we can iniciate the solid Works.
  
  With the rest of PC's we can see the avaiable licenses trought the License Manager but we can not iniciate the Solid. The error message we recieve is:
  "The SNL serve must be upgrated. Please contac with the red administrator. For more information, click in: http//:files.solidworks.com/servives/SNL_manager:upgarde.htm"
  * Maybe in english the message is quite diferent I translated it from the spanish.
  
  So is the version, right?
  
  We can't download the 2014 version so is there any way to update it? If we come back to the 2013 version we will not be capable to open all the projects we have worked until now (2014) so it would be a big step back

    As said earlier, admin higher version can run a lower version client but not vice versa.
    We can't download the 2014 version so is there any way to update it?
    Why can't you download? Do you have installation media for SW2014. If yes then you can find the required files in that.

    Install the same version of Lincese manager in all the PC's we can work with SW.
