I'm working with Solidworks 2012 and I'm trying to create a solid from a point mesh file I have. The only way I've been able so far is by creating sketches->surfaces->knit surface->solid.
This is extremely slow when working with complex bodies.
Is there any other way?
This is not a trivial task and you need to operate with IModeler interface and create bodies by boundary representation. You may also take a look at ScanTo3D add-in in SolidWorks which should do the trick.
